photos are so good I didn’t even noticed the cloudy skies. Plus,
you did a great job of shooting tight to minimize the lack of
sunshine. I think your expertise in shooting nature really enhances

Jim Crotty, photographer and owner of Picture Ohio, LLC and
Calmphotos.com, provides award-winning, assignment photography
services, including studio and location portraits, modeling
portfolios/comp. cards, editorial, product, food, events,
corporate, architecture (both interiors and exteriors) and more.
Location shooting fees for commercial and editorial subjects start
at $500 for half day and $1000 for full day. Additional fees apply
for licensing (usage), travel, digital editing and processing of
images, image previews, assistant fees and other related expenses.
Separate pricing for prints. It is the photographer's right to
offer services and image usage rights in exchange for publicity
and/or marketing purposes or donate services to select charity
organizations and efforts.
Jim primarily utilizes professional-grade Canon EOS 35mm digital
camera bodies (1D Mark II and Mark III) combined with Canon L-grade
lenses, Alien Bee studio strobe lighting system, Pocket Wizard
radio remotes, umbrellas, light boxes, full muslin and paper
backgrounds. Jim’s digital darkroom consists of a Nikon Coolscan
8000 digital scanner, Mac Pro Quad Xeon 64-bit workstation and Dell
Precision 360 PC, both with multiple hard drive back-up systems and
networked via Apple AirPort Extreme wireless, Apple 23-inch cinema
LCD display, Samsung large format monitor and a 17″ MacBook Pro
laptop using Adobe Bridge, Lightroom and Photoshop CS3 as well as
Apple Aperture software. Also used are Epson printers including
1280 and 7600 with a variety of Epson and Moab papers. All client
images are backed-up on disk via a portable DVD burner. A Mamiya
6×7 medium format film camera with Mamiya 50mm and 90mm lenses and
Sekonic light meter are also included with Jim’s tools of his
trade.
A minimum $100 retainer is required for most portrait appointments
and commercial assignments, particularly as it may apply to new
clients. Service agreement may be required for commercial
